SOL started out as a hobby. The desire to make unique nail polish unavailable in stores. They were made for personal use or to give to friends. And that was alright.
Then I became acquainted with Special Ones Rescue. Karen (the lady who runs the rescue) takes in the hardest cases. The cats who others may think have no hope. She bends over backwards to get them the healthcare required and never gives up the hunt for the perfect home for them once they are ready for adoption.
This is a cause very near and dear to my heart. One that has caused many tears and many more smiles. Every cat that finds it's forever home is a victory. And that is worth celebrating.
Special Ones Rescue is not Government funded. It does not have corporate sponsors. The rescue is run entirely by personal and donated dollars. And, as Karen rescues the Special Ones, the ones who are damaged, the ones who have been abused, the ones who really are in need, it costs a lot of money. Vet bills are high and endless. The rescue could not continue without the generous donations of the people who care.
I wanted to help. I wanted to find a way I could save lives. Sadly, my situation doesn't allow for me to make large personal donations on a regular basis. And I wanted to do more. So why not use my hobby to raise some money?
For every bottle of SOL sold, $3 will be donated to Special Ones Rescue.
